Day 1: Tangier » Chefchaouen
On the first day of our 8 days tour from Tangier to Marrakech, we will meet you at the port and drive through the Rif mountains and Tetoun city, enjoying the scenery until we arrive at Chefchaouan, one of the most beautiful villages at the foot of the Rif mountains.
Chefchaouen Medina has a Spanish-style square surrounded by many funky arts and crafts stores, roof-top restaurants, and cafes where you will have lunch, where we will spend the night.
Day 2: Chefchaouen » Volubilis, An Ancient Roman City » Meknes » Fes
After a delicious breakfast at the riad, we start on the second day of our 8 days desert tour from Tangier to Marrakech, traveling through Ouazan and other Rif settlements on our route to Volubilis. We’ll explore Roman ruins in Volubilis and learn about Moroccan history.Then we’ll drive to Meknes, a city with a 17th-century legacy, where we’ll have lunch and learn about the medieval walls of the medina, Bab el Mansour, and the Moulay Ismail mausoleum.We depart later in the afternoon for Fes, where we will spend the night.
Day 3: Visiting Fes attractions
The third day of our 8 days trip from Tangier to Marrakech will be a tour to explore the city of Fes. The trip will begin in the morning from your accommodation. Your local travel guide will arrive to pick you up to see the Madrasa Bou Inania. Abou Inan Faris created an architectural school in AD 1351–56. One of the religious monuments in Fes that non-Muslims can enter. It is also recognized as a center where children are taught the Quran and other Islamic subjects.
Secondly, we will visit Fes El Bali, popularly known as Fes’s old city. The majority of the local riads (hotels) may be found there. To get there, use the “Bab Boujloud” main gate. Several famous souks and historic Moroccan monuments can be found here. For example, the Al-Andalus mosque, Medersa Sehrij.
Thirdly, you and your guide will visit the Chouara tanneries, famous as the largest in the cultural city. It is the home of several handcrafted leather products. The artists use only unique spices to paint the leather, and it is completely dry by the end of the day. It is recommended that you go to the nearby roofs owned by the shop’s proprietors for the best views.
Another visit will be to the Jewish Quarter, often known as Mellah. A well-known location in Fes, El Jedid, it depicts how the Jewish community in Fes lived in its early 20th century dwellings.
Day 4: Fes » Ifrane » Merzouga Desert
The fourth day of our 8 days tour package from Tangier to Marrakech starts from your accommodation in Fez, driving through the Middle Atlas and cedar forest. We proceed through Ifrane, a well-known ski resort, and Midelt, which is famous for minerals and apples. We continue through the Ziz valley to Erfoud, known for its fossil handicrafts, and then to Rissani.
In the evening, we will arrive in Merzouga and ride camels (one for each of you) to a desert camp across the sweeping sand dunes of Erg Chebbi. Enjoy a spectacular sunset from a high sand dune, then spend the night in your camp with Berbers (original nomads). A Sahara desert camp
Day 5: Merzouga » Khamlia » Ouzina
On the fifth day of our 8 days tour itinerary from Tangier to Marrakech, it’s absolutely worth getting up early to enjoy the most amazing sunrise you’ve ever seen from the top of a dune close to the camp and appreciate this unique scenery.
A delicious breakfast awaits you after this unforgettable experience. Take a shower before returning by camels to Merzouga.
In Kamilia Village,the majority of the residents are sub-Saharan origin (Black African). In this village, we’ll enjoy a relaxing cup of tea while listening to Gnawa music.
Stop at Mefis, a little abandoned village still existing in the area, which gives you the opportunity to uncover mines of lead and other minerals from the French colonial era.
Later, we continue to Taouz. Here we can follow the ancient Paris Dakar Rally route to see some amazing rock engravings, and we will pass through the town of Jdaid. Lunch at the home of a Berber family (Berber Pizza and Tea) and get Henna tattooed if you’re interested .
In the afternoon, we will go to the hotel set in the Ouzina desert, where we will spend the night.
Day 6: Ouzina » Merzouga» Rissani » Todra Gorges » Dades Valley
It is recommended to get up early on the morning of the sixth day of our 8 days safari from Tangier to Marrakech via the desert. After breakfast and a shower, return to Merzouga village, then to Rissani town, where we will make a stop at the largest traditional souk market in the area. This is the market where thousands of people come from all over the south to get their weekly provisions.
After that, we’ll drive to our next destination, the Dades valley. We’ll pass through the stunning Todra gorges, and the Dades valley, where we will spend the night
Day 7: Dades Valley » Ait Ben Haddou » Marrakech
On the seventh day of our 8 days tour from Tangier to Marrakech, we’ll drive through the Dades Valley towards Kalaat Mgouna and Ouarzazate. The route through the Dades Valley, the way of the thousand kasbahs, provides numerous photo opportunities. We’ll visit the Roses valley and Skoura village, then continue to Ouarzazat, “the Hollywood of Africa”. Lunch is at the famous Ait Ben Haddou kasbah, the largest kasbah in Morocco. After touring this UNESCO World Heritage site, our journey will continue through the majestic Tizi nTichka pass, reaching an altitude of 2260m, over the High Atlas Mountains. We will stop to enjoy the impressive views and visit the argan oil cooperative. We will arrive in Marrakech in the late afternoon.
Day 8: Visiting Marrakech attractions
We dedicate the last day of this tour from Tangier to Marrakech to exploring and visiting the best sites and monuments of Marrakech.
We will take you to cultural and historical attractions such as Majorelle Gardens, Koutoubia Tower, Saadian Tombs, and the magnificent Bahia Palace. Lunch will be served in the medina, near to Marrakech’s colorful center (Jmaa El Fnaa Square).Afterwards, take a walk through the souks with their various stores and hundreds of handicrafts. The afternoon is free for you to take a walk and explore more. Overnight stay at the riad.
