Day 1 : Marrakech - High Atlas - Ait Ben Haddou - Ouarzazate - Dades Valley

The tour begins with a morning pick-up from your accommodation in Marrakech. You’ll be driven through the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi N’Tichka pass. Along the way, you’ll pass through traditional Berber villages, where you’ll get a chance to witness local life.

Your first major stop is the iconic Ait Ben Haddou. This ancient fortified city is renowned for its historical significance and cinematic history. You’ll take a guided tour around the ksar and its surrounding area.

After lunch, continue your journey along the Road of 1,000 Kasbahs, a picturesque route that takes you through Ouarzazate, Skoura, and the Valley of Roses. Arriving in Dades Valley, you’ll visit the famous Dades Gorges before heading to your hotel for a relaxing dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2 : Gorges Dades – Tinghir – Tinjedad - Merzouga:

On the second day, you will head to Tinghir and the Toudgha Gorge. The towering cliffs of the gorge are perfect for a short walk and photo opportunities. The gorge is a popular spot for climbers and trekkers.

Continuing through the Berber Bedouin villages, you’ll make your way to Erfoud and finally arrive in Merzouga. Here, you will embark on a camel ride into the Erg Chebbi dunes, a vast stretch of golden sand that seems to go on forever.

During the trek, you’ll stop at a high dune to watch the sunset, an unforgettable moment as the sun sinks into the horizon, painting the sky in shades of red and orange. As night falls, you will reach the desert camp, where you’ll be welcomed with a glass of traditional mint tea, followed by a hearty dinner and a musical performance around the campfire.

Day 3: Merzouga » N'kob » Agdz » High Atlas Mountains » Marrakech

After watching the sunrise on the last day of our 3-day desert tour from Marrakech, you’ll have breakfast and shower at camp before riding camels or taking a 4WD back to the starting point, where you’ll meet your driver.

Then we’ll drive back to Marrakech through the arid pre-desert area, where we’ll see acacia trees that are typical of this landscape.

We’ll stop along the way to the Draa Valley to admire the stunning views of the river that gives the valley its name. It’s Morocco’s longest river.

Our 3 Days Marrakech to Merzouga tour continues through the Anti-Atlas Mountains to Ouarzazate. The best Marrakech desert tour in 3 days!

My first experience of the Sahara desert was on a three-day desert tour from Marrakech, and it was incredible. We began in Marrakech, where we were met by Said, who accompanied us throughout the 3 days tour. He was the best driver and travel companion we've ever had, and we learned a lot about Moroccan culture from him. Because of him and the guides we met along the way, the tour was fantastic. During the three-day desert tour, we met many other people, and I promise I will never forget them all.

On this 3-day desert trip from Marrakech to Erg-Chebbi, we had the most incredible experience. Our driver, Mohamed, was absolutely fantastic and went above and beyond to make our trip memorable and enjoyable. He even took us to his family's house for tea and was always there to make sure we were served as soon as possible! He constantly checked in on us, made us laugh, and was an all-around nice guy. The trip itself was fantastic. The desert is incredible, and all of the stops along the way were fascinating and educational. It far exceeded our expectations!
