Day 1: Tangier » Chefchaouen » Fes
We begin our adventure in Tangier, the northern gateway of Morocco. After meeting you at your hotel or port, we will drive through the Rif Mountains, offering green landscapes and peaceful mountain villages. Along the way, we stop in Chefchaouen, known as the “Blue City.”
Chefchaouen is famous for its bright blue-painted buildings, narrow alleys, and relaxing atmosphere. The city is surrounded by mountains and filled with art shops, rooftop cafés, and beautiful small mosques. We will enjoy lunch in a traditional restaurant and take time to walk through the medina.
Afterward, we continue to Fes, one of Morocco’s oldest imperial cities. You will stay overnight in a traditional riad, where you can relax and prepare for the next day’s adventure.
Day 2: Fes » Ifrane » Merzouga Desert
After breakfast, we leave Fes and drive through the Middle Atlas Mountains, passing through Ifrane, known as the “Switzerland of Morocco.” With its clean streets and European architecture, Ifrane is very different from the rest of the country.
Our next stop is Azrou’s Cedar Forest, home to the famous Barbary macaques. These friendly monkeys often come near tourists, so get your camera ready!
We then head toward Midelt, where we stop for lunch, and continue through the Ziz Valley, a stunning oasis filled with palm trees, date plantations, and red cliffs.
In the late afternoon, we arrive in Merzouga, the door to the Sahara Desert. Here, your camel will be waiting for you. You will ride your camel through the Erg Chebbi dunes at sunset—an unforgettable experience. The desert turns orange and pink as the sun sets.
You will spend the night in a luxurious Berber desert camp, enjoying local food, Berber music, and a starry sky.
Day 3: Merzouga» Rissani » Todra Gorges » Dades Valley
Wake up early to enjoy the magical desert sunrise. After breakfast at the camp, we return to Merzouga by camel. Then we drive to Rissani, a traditional town with a lively market. This souk is one of the oldest in southern Morocco. You’ll see spices, clothes, crafts, and even donkeys and sheep being sold.
Next, we visit the dramatic Todra Gorges. These natural canyons have towering rock walls up to 300 meters high. It’s a popular spot for hikers and rock climbers. You can walk along the river and take stunning photos.
In the evening, we reach the Dades Valley, also known as the Valley of a Thousand Kasbahs. This area is famous for its red cliffs, old Berber villages, and green gardens. You’ll stay overnight in a beautiful hotel overlooking the valley.
Day 4: Dades Valley » Ait Ben Haddou » Marrakech
After breakfast, we begin the last day of the tour by driving through Kalaat Mgouna, known for its rose products. We’ll also visit Skoura, home to hidden kasbahs and palm groves.
Next, we stop in Ouarzazate, also called “the Hollywood of Africa.” Many famous movies and series were filmed here, such as Gladiator, Game of Thrones, and The Mummy. We visit the Atlas Studios and the historic Taourirt Kasbah.
After lunch, we head to the famous Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This ancient fortified village is made of clay and sits on a hill by the river. It’s one of Morocco’s most beautiful places and a top photo spot.
Our journey ends by driving through the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2,260m). We’ll stop for panoramic views and visit a local argan oil cooperative before reaching Marrakech in the late afternoon.
