Day 1: Arrival day in Ouarzazate
On your first day, you will arrive in Ouarzazate and check into your hotel. You can spend the day exploring the city and its surroundings. Ouarzazate is a popular film location, and you can visit the Atlas Film Studios or the Kasbah Taourirt, an impressive mud-brick fortress that was once the residence of the Glaoui clan.
Day 2: Ouarzazate » N'Kob (230km)
A pleasant day of biking will allow you to familiarize yourself with your bike and the terrain. After breakfast and about six kilometers on the road, you’ll head north-east on sweeping trails through the local military range. We leave the plateau and descend into the dry riverbeds and gorges on the High Atlas’s outskirts.
The road is mostly hard packed soil, with a few short rocky sections, river crossings, and small villages thrown in for good measure. There are some long sections of undulating trail that twist through the hills with no rocks in sight. After 100 kilometers, you will turn south-eastwards after a picnic lunch on the trail.
You’ll make your way down through the Anti-Atlas Mountains to Agdz. After a quick refueling and coffee stop, the journey will take you 30 kilometers off-road through palmeraie, hugging the River Draa before returning to asphalt. From there, take the road east for 22 kilometers. You will stop in the village of N’Kob for the night’s accommodation. You will spend the evening in a 200-year-old converted kasbah.
Day 3: N'Kob » Ouzina (250km)
On day three of our 6 days motorcycle tour from Ouarzazate to Ouzina, you will ride from Nkob to Ouzina, which is located in the heart of the Sahara Desert. This route will take you off-road and through some of Morocco’s most beautiful and rugged terrain. You will pass through the stunning landscapes of the Draa Valley and the Erg Ouzina dunes, and experience the stunning beauty of the Sahara Desert. Once you arrive in Ouzina, you can relax and take in the breathtaking scenery.
Day 4: Ouzina » Merzouga (80km)
After breakfast, ride to Merzouga and explore the surrounding area. Take a camel ride through the dunes of Erg Chebbi, one of Morocco’s largest and most spectacular sand dunes. Spend the night in a desert camp and enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner under the stars.
Day 5: Merzouga » Rissani » Erfoud » Tinghir (170 km)
From Merzouga, ride towards Tinghir, passing through the stunning Todra Gorge along the way. This is a challenging off-road section that requires skill and concentration, but the views are well worth it. Spend the night in Tinghir.
Day 6: Tinghir » Ouarzazate (150 km)
On the final day of your KTM tour, you’ll ride back to Ouarzazate, passing through several small towns and enjoying the views of the surrounding mountains. Once you arrive in Ouarzazate, you can relax and reflect on your adventure.
