Day 1: Tangier » Chefchaouen » Fes
On the first day of our 6 days trip from Tangier to Marrakech, we will meet you at the port and drive through the Rif mountains and Tetoun city, enjoying the scenery until we arrive at Chefchaouan, one of the most beautiful villages at the foot of the Rif mountains.
Chefchaouen Medina has a Spanish-style square surrounded by many funky arts and crafts stores, roof-top restaurants, and cafes where you will have lunch before we continue our way to Fes, where we will spend the night.
Day 2: Explore Fez with a local guide
After breakfast, the day is dedicated to exploring Fes, the imperial city founded by Idriss II, and Medinas, a center of Arab-Muslim culture; the Andalusians’ Mosque; tanneries; district potters; and Medina.
Lunch in a palace in the Medina In the afternoon, we continue to visit the Hispano-Moorish buildings and Medersas Nejjarine.
Day 3: Fes » Ifrane » Merzouga Desert
The thirth day of our 6 days tour from Tangier to Marrakech starts from your accommodation in Fez, driving through the Middle Atlas and cedar forest. We proceed through Ifrane, a well-known ski resort, and Midelt, which is famous for minerals and apples. We continue through the Ziz valley to Erfoud, known for its fossil handicrafts, and then to Rissani.
In the evening, we will arrive in Merzouga and and check into your hotel/Raid with dinner + Breakfast.
Day 4: Merzouga» Rissani » Khamlia
The fourth day of our 6 days adventure from Tangier to Marrakech is about exploring the areas of Erg Chebbi.
After having a delicious breakfast, we will drive to Khamlia. This is a little village in the desert near the dunes of Erg Chebbi. There, you have a chance to visit a Berber residence and listen to their music. It is Gnawa music, which originated from West Africa. In addition to that, you will visit the Mfise mines and the oasis of palm trees.
Rissani is well known for its market, or souk. You will visit this market. You can find jewelry, souvenirs, gifts, spices, art, and crafts.
Your lunch is a traditional Moroccan pizza called “Medfouna.” Then we’ll return to Merzouga and prepare for a camel ride to Erg Chebbi. You ride camels to the desert camp, where you will spend the night under the stars. Overnight at a luxury camp.
Day 5: Merzouga» Rissani » Todra Gorges » Dades Valley
It is recommended to get up early on the morning of the fifth day of our 6 days safari from Tangier to Marrakech via the desert. After breakfast and a shower, return to Merzouga village, then to Rissani town, where we will make a stop at the largest traditional souk market in the area. This is the market where thousands of people come from all over the south to get their weekly provisions.
After that, we’ll drive to our next destination, the Dades valley. We’ll pass through the stunning Todra gorges, and the Dades valley, where we will spend the night
Day 6: Dades Valley » Ait Ben Haddou » Marrakech
On the final day of our Tangier to Marrakech 6 days tour, we’ll drive through the Dades Valley towards Kalaat Mgouna and Ouarzazate. The route through the Dades Valley, the way of the thousand kasbahs, provides numerous photo opportunities. We’ll visit the Roses valley and Skoura village, then continue to Ouarzazat, “the Hollywood of Africa”. Lunch is at the famous Ait Ben Haddou kasbah, the largest kasbah in Morocco. After touring this UNESCO World Heritage site, our journey will continue through the majestic Tizi nTichka pass, reaching an altitude of 2260m, over the High Atlas Mountains. We will stop to enjoy the impressive views and visit the argan oil cooperative. We will arrive in Marrakech in the late afternoon.
