Day 1 : Marrakech » High Atlas » Ait Ben Haddou » Ouarzazate » Dades Valley

Our skilled drivers will take you up from your accommodation at 8:00 AM on this Marrakech to Merzouga 3 days private tour. This amazing journey begins with a crossing of the Tizi-N-Tichka pass (2’260 m), where authentic Berber settlements can be seen with their people working and chatting by the wayside. You may visit the legendary Kasbah Ait-Ben-Haddou, a fortified clay city with many ksars and kasbahs, just before Ouarzazate, the desert’s capital. It’s where Gladiator, Kingdom of Heaven, and Prince of Persia were filmed.

After lunch, we’ll travel south along the Road of 1000 Kasbahs to the Dades gorges, stopping in Ouarzazate, Skoura, and the Valley of Roses in Kalaat M’Gouna. If we still have time after arriving in the Gorges in the evening, we’ll drive to the spectacular rock formations known as the monkey fingers; if not, we’ll head back to the Gorges. Day 2 : Gorges Dades » Tinghir » Tinjedad » Merzouga

We’ll begin the second day of our 3 days Marrakech desert tour with a great breakfast before going to Tineghir, where we’ll stop for a panoramic view of picturesque Berber settlements and a palm-tree-filled oasis. A 300-meter-high canyon called Toudgha Gorge is only a short distance away; we’ll take a walk through it.

Continue to Erfoud via the southern Moroccan Berber Bedouin communities, landing in Merzouga. Where we’ll find our camels, ready for a ride into the Erg Chebbi dunes in the Sahara. You’ll stop on a high dune along the way to watch the sunset over Erg Chebbi’s golden dunes.

After the sun goes down, you’ll be greeted with a glass of mint tea, food, a campfire, a music party, and an overnight stay at Berber camp Merzouga.

Day 3: Merzouga » N'kob » Agdz » High Atlas Mountains » Marrakech

On the final day of our 3-day desert tour from Marrakech, you’ll have breakfast and shower at camp before riding camels or taking a 4WD back to the starting point, where you’ll meet your driver.

Then we’ll drive back to Marrakech through the arid pre-desert area, where we’ll observe acacia trees that are typical of this landscape.

We’ll stop along the trip to the Draa Valley to see the breathtaking vistas of the river that gives the valley its name. It’s Morocco’s longest river.

The best Marrakech desert tour in 3 days!

My first visit to the Sahara desert was on a three-day desert tour from Marrakech, and it was breathtaking. We started in Marrakech, where we were met by Said, who would accompany us during the three-day journey.
