The 5-day desert tour from Fes to Marrakech via Merzouga begins with an early pick-up from the airport or your Fes accommodation. Then we drive south through Imouzzer to Ifrane, which is known for its cold temperatures, snow, and alpine-style houses. It’s no surprise it’s known as Morocco’s Switzerland. Then we go to the cedar forest, where the Barbary macaques live. Feel free to feed them while exploring the forest. Later, we’ll travel to Midelt for lunch. Then we drive to the Sahara desert, passing through the Tizi-n-Tilghmt pass and along the Ziz river.

In the afternoon, we arrive in Merzouga, where you switch to camels and travel the sandy desert. A halt will be made for you to view the spectacular sunset from the top of a high dune. Then proceed to the desert luxury camp, where you can relax and listen to Berber drum music while dancing around the campfire beneath the great open sky studded with stars. Dinner and stay in the camp.

Day 2: Explore Merzouga region » Taouz » Ouzina

It’s worth getting up early on the third day of our 5 days tour desert from Fes to Marrakech to enjoy the most amazing sunrise you’ve ever seen from the top of a dune close to the camp and appreciate this unique scenery Breakfast is offered. Then you return to Merzouga on camels, where the driver awaits. We will spend the day exploring the Merzouga region. We begin our excursion in Merzouga by going off-road to an ancient eyeliner mine. Then we pay the nomads a visit in their handwoven tent. Learn about their way of life while sipping Berber tea. Our next stop is the Khamlia village, where you will experience Gnaoua music and dancing performances. Its residents are mostly from Sub-Saharan African nations such as Mali, Sudan, and Niger. Lunch break in a restaurant.
After that, we will travel to Taouz, where we will follow the ancient Paris-Dakar Rally route to see some incredible rock engravings. In the late afternoon, we will arrive in the Ouzina Desert and spend the night there

Day 3: Ouzina » Merzouga »Rissani »Todra Gorges» Dades Valley

On the third day of our 5 days desert safari from Fes to Marrakech through Ouzina and Merzouga, you’ll have breakfast and shower at the hotel before continuing to Todra Gorges via Rissani, Morocco’s largest traditional market in the south. Second, we’ll make a stop in Erfoud to attend fossil seminars. A variety of fossils unearthed in the vicinity will be on display.

Then we travel through the palm groves of Touroug and Tinjdad to reach the Todra Gorges. The Todra River’s course has formed a huge canyon through the mountains, resulting in a steep, red cliff-sided gorge. These gorges are perfect for rock climbers. Feel free to roam through the gorges and take in the scenery. Lunch at a restaurant is optional. Then we proceed to the Dades Valley, passing via Boumalne Dades. Stopping at the “monkey fingers” rock formation was unavoidable. And on a peak with a view of the Dades Valley. Finally, dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 4: Dades Valley » Roses Valley» Ouarzazate

We continue our journey to Kalaa Magouna after breakfast to view the Rose Valley. In May, there is a Rose Festival. Where locals sell rose items such as perfumes, rose water, oil, and cosmetics. Lunch is on the house. We next drive through Skoura’s palm orchards and reach Amridil’s Kasbah. Finally, we arrive at Ouarzazate, where we visit the studios where famous films were made, as well as the Taourirt Kasbah. Dinner and an overnight stay in a hotel are included.

Day 5: Ouarzazate » Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah »High Atlas Mountains » Marrakech

On the final day, we will travel to the famed Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou. A fortified settlement designated by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. Furthermore, the Kasbah has appeared in numerous films and television shows, including Gladiator, Alexander, The Mummy, and Game of Thrones. Then we drive to Marrakesh over the Tizi-N-Tichka pass and the High Atlas Mountains. Stops will be made for lunch and photographing fascinating locations.
